Stage 1: De-escalation

Core Skills 1: Developing the Therapeutic Alliance focuses on the initial stage of therapy, emphasizing the development of alliance and assessment skills essential for assisting couples experiencing relational distress. A key component involves identifying and tracking the cycles of distress that hinder couples from forming a loving and safe connection.

Core Skills 2: Accessing & Utilizing Live Emotion is designed to equip clinicians with the skills to access and work with live emotions and guide distressed couples. There is a keen focus on helping therapists guide the process to help de-escalate the distress of the negative cycle.

Combined Core Skills 1 & 2: Combining these two core skills together gives the attendees an immersive experiential focus and skills to begin the journey with clients stuck in reactive cycles of emotional and relational distress. This immersive, experiential approach equips you with practical tools to create meaningful change and allows you to build supportive, collegial relationships. Plus, with the convenience of combining these core skills into one streamlined training, you’ll save time, reduce travel expenses, and return to your practice feeling inspired and prepared to make a more profound impact."
